Taseko Mines Ltd. is a Vancouver-based, North American copper-focused mining company engaged in the acquisition, development, and operation of large-tonnage copper and base metal deposits. It operates the long-life Gibraltar open-pit copper-molybdenum mine in British Columbia and is advancing the Florence in-situ copper recovery project in Arizona toward commercial production. Taseko also maintains a portfolio of development-stage assets including Yellowhead, Aley (niobium), and New Prosperity.

Taseko’s growth story lies in acquiring, operating, and bringing copper mines into production. Its cornerstone (being Gibraltar) was acquired for just $1 in 1999. Scaling them through operational discipline, economies of scale, and strategic partnerships has grown Gibraltar into Canada’s second-largest open-pit copper mine, producing $600m+ in annual revenue and anchoring the company’s $1.3b market capitalization. This trajectory highlights Taseko’s ability to execute efficiently and strategically within capital-intensive, cyclical markets.

As management continues to deliver operational consistency and brings Florence online, Taseko is well-positioned to unlock further value, whilst riding strong industry tailwinds.
